According to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, on Thursday morning, the suspect confessed to sexually assaulting the victim four times, beginning in 2021.
The Police statement did not state the age of the assaulted minor. However, neighbors of the suspect, who commented on the act for which he is now in police detention, said it had been cruel of him to have pounced on a vulnerable minor after he had lived for years on the generous benevolence of the Saminaka community as an IDP.
