Police operatives in Rivers State have arrested one Michael Chidozie for allegedly beating his 32-year-old wife and strangling her in their home in Port Harcourt.

It was gathered that the victim, a mother of 3 identified as Ufuoma Eriera Chidozie was allegedly beaten to death in the wee hours of March 5th, 2024.

The couple had 3 children, aged 5, 7 and 10. According to PMNews, some friends of the deceased alleged that her husband was in the habit of b£ating her every day even without provocation.

Close neighbors claim that whenever Chidozie wants to physically abuse his late wife, he will lock her inside their apartment and plummel her to his satisfaction.

However, it was not clear what may have led to the last incident which led to her death.

The suspect, said to be a pastor in one of the Pentecostal churches in Port Harcourt, fled the scene after calling his late wife’s brother to come that there was an emergency at home.
