Family of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad has conducted a 2nd autopsy to unravel the cause of his death.

On June 26, Magistrate T.A. Shotobi of the Ikorodu Coroner Court in Lagos authorised Mr. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, to arrange an independent examination by a licensed pathologist. The court stipulated that Mr. Aloba would cover all associated costs.

A statement signed on behalf of the family by a member of the legal team, Monisola Odumosu said the autopsy was conducted on July 19 and July 20. The process is divided into two phases; the 1st phase is complete and if the cause of death remains unclear, toxicology and histology tests would follow.

The procedure was observed by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, along with pathologists appointed by both him and Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba.

It would be recalled that Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. His initial autopsy, conducted after his body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, failed to reveal the cause of death due to decomposition.
