Police operatives in Imo State have arrested a 27-year-old lady, identified as Oluchi Nzemechi for allegedly stabbing her ‘husband’, Kelechi Nzemechi, to death due to a disagreement over the sharing formula of proceeds from internet fraud.

It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred in Ikeduru LGA of the state on June 2, 2024.

The command’s spokesperson in a statement said during interrogation, the suspect narrated how the deceased lured her into cybercrime.

She said they succeeded in duping an Indonesian of 250 million rupiah but his refusal to give her her share of the money led to an argument and in the process, she stabbed him with a kitchen knife.

According to the statement, the suspect said that when she discovered he was d£ad, she picked up a piece of paper and wrote on it, “You think you can eat my money and go free? I am baba for the boys. I am coming for your wife and your child, including your family,” and placed it on the lifeless body of the victim before running away from the house.
