Operatives of the Lagos Waste Management Authority have excavated waste that had blocked a canal at Surulere, Lagos.
The agency posted the before and after pictures of the canal on their official X handle on Wednesday.
According to LAWMA, this was to ensure that water channels were not clogged by refuse.
LAWMA further urged citizens against indiscriminate dumping, stating that canals are not meant for waste disposal.
The agency carried out a similar operation on Friday, October 6, when it excavated garbage that had blocked a canal in Ilubirin, Lagos Island.
