Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered that food products at the “Ounje Eko” food markets be sold at a discount in all five divisions of Lagos starting on Sunday, March 17.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, in a statement on Friday, noted that the markets will offer Lagosians a 25% discount on staple food items like rice, beans, gari, bread, eggs, tomatoes, and pepper.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, in photos shared on his X handle on Saturday revealed the market locations across the five divisions of the state.
The infographics listed the 27 market locations in Ikeja; six in Lagos Island; nine in Ikorodu; five in Epe; and 10 in Badagry divisions.
The markets will operate on Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
