Tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday, December 11, when unknown gunmen stormed the club of Onye Porsche, a popular businessman in Oba, Anambra State.

The gunmen, who were in their numbers, stormed the club at about 12 AM.

It was gathered that the daredevils first engaged the community’s vigilantes in a gunfight before proceeding to attacking them with machetes and knives.

According to a source, “The kidnappers first engaged the vigilantes in a gun fight but when they saw that their bullets weren’t penetrating, they decided to attack them with machetes. They killed seven vigilante men and removed their vital organs.

They also kidnapped the owner of the Porsche club and nine others who were at the club at the time.

Onye is a very close friend of Akwa Okuku, the popular native doctor who was kidnapped and later released about two months ago in the same Oba.”
