Polaris Bank warns customers of four-night system maintenance

Polaris Bank Limited has notified its customers of a scheduled system maintenance exercise that will run nightly from Thursday, April 3, to Sunday, April 6, 2026, during which access to the bank’s digital banking services may be temporarily limited.

According to the bank’s notice, the maintenance window will run between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am each night, a total of ten hours per session, affecting the bank’s flagship digital banking platform, VULTe.

Customers have been advised to plan their transactions accordingly and complete time-sensitive banking activities before the nightly maintenance windows commence.

The bank did not specify the nature of the technical work being carried out during the period, but such scheduled maintenance exercises are typically associated with system upgrades, security patches, infrastructure improvements, or core banking enhancements aimed at improving platform performance and customer experience.

VULTe is Polaris Bank’s digital banking application, which the bank describes as providing customers with convenient solutions beyond their basic banking needs, enabling end-to-end account opening and transacting without visiting a physical branch. Customers can also make QR code payments, request debit cards, and carry out a range of financial services entirely through the platform.

The bank recently launched VULTe 3.0, a revamped version of the platform featuring a new dashboard, hotel and flight booking capabilities, real-time notifications, a Buy Now Pay Later marketplace, and AI-powered banking recommendations.

Polaris Bank, headquartered at Victoria Island, Lagos, is a commercial bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. It was acquired by Strategic Capital Investment Limited in October 2022 and maintains over 260 branches across Nigeria. The bank is among three Nigerian lenders whose recapitalisation status the CBN was expected to clarify following the regulator’s March 31, 2026 deadline for the banking industry-wide recapitalisation exercise.

Customers requiring assistance during the maintenance period are advised to contact Polaris Bank’s 24-hour customer service centre on 0700 765 2747 or 0806 988 0000, or reach out via email at Yescenter@polarisbanklimited.com. Normal service is expected to resume fully by 8:00 am each morning throughout the maintenance period.
