The Kwara State Police Command has arrested four suspected robbers and recovered a motorcycle allegedly stolen during a violent robbery operation in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
The Command disclosed that the arrests were made following a swift intelligence-led operation launched after a report of the robbery was received by security authorities.
According to the police, the suspects were allegedly involved in an attack during which a motorcycle was forcefully taken from its owner. Acting on credible information and coordinated surveillance efforts, officers tracked down the suspects and successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle.
Police authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities and enhance public safety across Kwara State. The recovered motorcycle has been secured as evidence while investigations continue to determine the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in other criminal activities within the area.
The Commissioner of Police in the state reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that criminal elements would not be allowed to operate freely in any part of Kwara.
