Premier League clubs circle Japan star Keito Nakamura after impressive World Cup performances

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring Japan international Keito Nakamura following his standout performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham emerging as leading admirers of the versatile winger.

According to multiple reports, the trio of English clubs have expressed interest in signing the 25-year-old, who has seen his stock rise after an impressive campaign for Japan on the international stage. Everton are understood to have held preliminary talks with representatives of the player as they explore options to strengthen their attacking department ahead of the new season.

Nakamura, who currently plays for French club Stade Reims, enjoyed an impressive 2025–26 campaign despite the club’s relegation from Ligue 1. He finished as Reims’ leading scorer with 14 league goals, underlining his ability to contribute consistently in the final third.

His performances have continued on the international stage, where he has been one of Japan’s standout attacking players at the World Cup. The left winger, who can also operate as a centre-forward, has drawn praise for his pace, direct dribbling and eye for goal, attracting attention from clubs across Europe.

Everton are believed to be leading the race at this stage, although Bournemouth and Fulham are also keeping close tabs on the situation as they assess potential summer transfer targets. Reports indicate that Nakamura is open to a move to the Premier League should a suitable offer materialise.

The former Gamba Osaka, LASK and FC Twente player remains under contract with Stade Reims, meaning any interested club would need to negotiate a transfer fee with the French side.

While no formal bid has yet been confirmed, interest in Nakamura is expected to intensify as the summer transfer window progresses, with his World Cup displays further enhancing his reputation as one of Japan’s most exciting attacking talents.
