A United Kingdom-based Nigerian microbiologist, identified simply as Moyosore on X, has opined that the healthcare system in Nigeria is more accessible than the UK’s.

Recounting an experience with the healthcare system in the UK, Moyosore also argued that although Nigeria lacks structure and resources, the country has better accessibility to medical care than the United Kingdom.

“You people can drag me if you want, but Nigeria has more accessible healthcare than the UK.

“We just don’t have structure and resources, the UK has everything, and they will still kill you.

“How can someone be in pain and the ambulance is taking 5hrs to come? And God help you, you take yourself to A&E (accident and emergency), you will sit for another 2hrs, that is if they don’t send you to urgent care to sit for another 3hrs.

“You go to your GP, complain about something that needs urgent attention, and they will give you a referral three months later. Abeg Abeg,” Moyosore tweeted.
