Actress Debbie Shokoya opens up about miscarriage

Popular Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has opened up about her recent miscarriage, sharing heartbreaking details of the experience.

In an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Shokoya said she was eight months pregnant when she lost the baby. She said she was at home when she started bleeding heavily. She was rushed to the hospital, but the baby could not be saved.

“I was devastated,” Shokoya said. “I couldn’t believe that I had lost my baby. I felt like my whole world had been turned upside down.”

Shokoya said she has been struggling to cope with the loss. She said she has been having nightmares and flashbacks of the day she lost the baby. She has also been feeling guilty, blaming herself for the miscarriage.

“I know it’s not my fault, but I can’t help but feel like I could have done something to prevent it,” Shokoya said.

Shokoya said she is sharing her story in the hope that it will help other women who have experienced miscarriage. She said she wants them to know that they are not alone and that there is help available.

“I want them to know that they are not to blame,” Shokoya said. “And I want them to know that they will get through this.”
