Chopper crash: How Access Holdings CEO, Wigwe’s aide escaped death

Herbert Wigwe’s special assistant, Faleye Olushola, miraculously escaped death on February 9, in the ill-fated chopper crash that claimed the lives of his boss, wife and son.

Recall that the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, his wife, Chizoba and son died when the chopper crashed in California, USA. They were heading to Las Vegas when the tragic incident occurred.

Olushola whose name was in the manifest, escaped death as he did not board the ill-fated flight after opting to travel by road.

According to report, Olushola flew with Wigwe, his wife, son and former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo from London, UK to Palm Spring, California.

But on getting to Palm Spring, Olushola declined to board the ill-fated flight going to Boulder City in Nevada, insisting that he would not travel by helicopter at night due to the weather conditions. He was said to have opted to travel to Boulder City by road.
