Eid-El-Fitr: Lagos Assembly Muslim Community Send Congratulatory Message Tasks Faithful On Piety

The Amir/Lead Imam of the Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community, Abdushshakur Adeleke Osoala, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, marking the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

In his goodwill message, Imam Osoala congratulated Muslims for the spiritual discipline, devotion, and sacrifices observed during Ramadan, urging them not to abandon the virtues cultivated throughout the fasting period.

He emphasized that the essence of Ramadan goes beyond abstinence from food and drink, noting that the true value lies in the transformation of character, increased piety, acts of charity, and peaceful coexistence.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a moment of joy and celebration, but it also serves as a reminder that the righteous deeds, patience, generosity, and devotion exhibited during Ramadan should not end with the season. We must strive to sustain these virtues in our daily lives,” he stated.

The Amir called on Muslims to continue in the spirit of giving, compassion, and unity, stressing that consistent acts of kindness and adherence to the teachings of Islam are key to building a peaceful and progressive society.

He further used the occasion to admonish government at all levels to intensify efforts towards addressing the rising cost of goods and economic challenges facing citizens. Imam Osoala urged relevant authorities to implement sustainable measures that would ease the burden on the populace and significantly improve the standard of living of the people.

He also encouraged the Muslim community to remain steadfast in prayers and support for one another, while promoting harmony within the Lagos State House of Assembly and the larger society.

Imam Osoala concluded by praying for continued peace, prosperity, and divine guidance for all Muslim faithful, urging them to make the lessons of Ramadan a lifelong commitment.
