Acclaimed filmmaker Charles Granville was confirmed dead on Thursday at the age of 57. His family has stated that he passed away after a protracted illness.

Before his death, the ‘Tinsel’ actor was a multi-faceted artiste of many talents. He was an actor, a songwriter, musician, and filmmaker.

Some of the movies he was involved in were ‘Last Flight To Abuja’, ‘Impossible Relationships’, ‘Dowry Man’ and a soon-to-be-released movie ‘Locked’.

In a statement, Granville’s family said that they are “deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Charles.” They went on to say that he was “a brilliant filmmaker, a loving husband and father, and a dear friend to many.”
