Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man, Ayuba Danbaki, for allegedly killing his two-year-old daughter and burying her in a shallow grave.

The suspect, a resident of Rigi, a community in Ga’anda District, Gombi LGA, allegedly murdered his daughter after her mother took her to him at a local joint.

The mother of the baby, Shiyona Ali, 30, allegedly dumped the baby on the father at the local joint in the community where he was drinking beer, on the fateful night of the incident because she had become tired of her upkeep.

Witnesses said that Danbaki, who was angry with the action of his former wife and mother of the baby, took the baby into the bush, killed her by tying her neck with a rope, and then buried her.
