Chairman Agege Local Government Hon.Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obama is set to parley the Professional Online Journalists Association of Nigeria (POJAN) in order to bridge the communication gap between the local government and the public.
The commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the association to the council headquarters, where journalists lauded the Chairman’s transformative leadership and visible developmental strides within the Agege community.
POJAN leadership expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Obasa’s commitment to good governance. The association highlighted that the Chairman’s efforts in infrastructure and social welfare have significantly impacted the lives of residents, noting that such achievements deserve a prominent place in the national narrative.

POJAN also promised a Partnership for Transparency, by ensuring that these initiatives are well-documented and communicated through consistent media coverage of all local government activitiies side by side Promoting positive reportage of ongoing and future projects by informing the public accurately about the administration’s initiatives to foster community engagement.
While welcoming the delegation, Hon. Obasa thanked the journalists for their recognition, describing the media as an indispensable partner in the quest for transparency and accountability.
He reiterated that his administration is built on the principle of serving the people, and effective communication is the only way to ensure the people feel the pulse of the government.
The council boss assured POJAN of a close working relationship, promising to integrate the association into the council’s relevant programs.
