TranESS has launched a new industrial battery energy storage solution, the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh system, aimed at helping commercial and industrial users in Nigeria improve energy reliability, reduce electricity costs, and maximize the benefits of solar power installations.
The company said the newly introduced battery energy storage system is designed to address persistent power supply challenges facing businesses by providing efficient energy storage and backup capabilities for large-scale commercial operations.
According to TranESS, the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh solution combines advanced lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery technology with intelligent energy management features to support peak-load management, energy arbitrage, backup power supply, and seamless integration with solar photovoltaic systems.
The launch comes as businesses across Nigeria increasingly seek alternative energy solutions to reduce dependence on the national grid and mitigate the impact of rising energy costs. Industry experts have identified battery energy storage systems as a critical component in expanding the adoption of renewable energy, particularly solar power, among commercial and industrial users.
TranESS said the system is engineered to deliver 125 kilowatts of power output and 241 kilowatt-hours of energy storage capacity, making it suitable for factories, commercial facilities, industrial parks, and other energy-intensive operations. Similar battery storage configurations are widely used globally for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, and microgrid applications.
Company representatives noted that the DYQUE solution is expected to help organizations optimize energy consumption, improve operational efficiency, and enhance energy security, especially in regions where grid power remains unreliable.
The firm also highlighted the growing role of energy storage technologies in supporting Nigeria’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. Analysts have argued that integrating battery storage with renewable energy systems can significantly increase the share of renewable electricity while improving grid stability and reducing emissions.
Stakeholders in the renewable energy sector have welcomed investments in energy storage infrastructure, describing them as essential for accelerating the deployment of solar power and strengthening energy resilience for businesses across the country.
With demand for reliable power solutions continuing to rise, the introduction of the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh system is expected to provide commercial and industrial consumers with an additional option for managing energy costs and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
