Former Imo governorship candidate Uche Nwosu praises Wike

Former Imo State governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu, has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for what he described as the remarkable transformation of Abuja through extensive infrastructural development and urban renewal projects.

Nwosu made the commendation while assessing ongoing developments across the nation’s capital, noting that the visible improvements in road networks, public facilities, and urban infrastructure have significantly enhanced the city’s outlook and functionality.

According to him, the FCT administration under Wike has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering projects that directly impact the lives of residents and improve the overall standard of living in the capital city.

The former governorship candidate said Abuja has witnessed notable changes in recent months, with several key road projects, rehabilitation works, and other infrastructure initiatives either completed or nearing completion. He added that such projects have contributed to easing transportation challenges, improving connectivity, and stimulating economic activities within the territory.

Nwosu described the ongoing transformation as evidence of purposeful leadership and effective governance, stressing that the pace of development under the current FCT administration has attracted positive attention from many Nigerians.

He further noted that infrastructure remains a critical driver of economic growth and national development, emphasizing that investments in roads, public facilities, and urban renewal projects create opportunities for businesses, generate employment, and improve citizens’ welfare.

While commending Wike’s efforts, Nwosu urged public officials across the country to prioritize projects that deliver tangible benefits to citizens. He said leaders should focus on development initiatives capable of improving living conditions and boosting economic productivity.

The former Imo governorship candidate also expressed optimism that the ongoing projects in Abuja would further strengthen the city’s position as Nigeria’s administrative and diplomatic hub.

Since assuming office as FCT Minister, Wike has overseen the execution and commissioning of several infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory, including road construction, rehabilitation of critical public facilities, and urban development initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and modernizing the capital city.

The commendation from Nwosu adds to a growing list of endorsements from political figures, community leaders, and stakeholders who have acknowledged the pace of infrastructural development in Abuja under the current administration.

Observers say the continued execution of major projects across the FCT reflects the federal government’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents of the nation’s capital.
