RCCG Convention records 29 births in first 48 hours – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has announced that 29 babies were delivered at the church’s Redemption City maternity centre within the first 48 hours of its 2026 Annual Convention.

Adeboye made the announcement during one of the convention services at the Redemption City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, drawing applause from thousands of worshippers attending the week-long programme. The convention, themed Mountain Movers,” has attracted participants from across Nigeria and other countries.

According to the cleric, the 29 newborns comprised 18 boys and 11 girls, bringing moments of celebration to the gathering as members gave thanks for what they described as God’s blessings during the annual event.

The RCCG Annual Convention is one of the church’s largest global gatherings, featuring prayer sessions, Bible teachings, worship, and evangelism. Each year, the convention attracts hundreds of thousands of worshippers to the Redemption City, while millions more participate through live broadcasts and online platforms.

Adeboye’s announcement continues a long-standing tradition of sharing updates on births recorded at the church’s maternity facilities during the convention, a development often greeted with excitement by congregants.

The 2026 convention is expected to continue throughout the week with a series of sermons, special prayer sessions, and ministrations focused on spiritual growth and faith, culminating in the church’s Holy Ghost Service.
