Supreme Court set to deliver judgment on Atiku, Obi’s appeal against Tinubu

The Supreme Court has slated Thursday to deliver judgment on an appeal filed by the PDP and Atiku Abubakar, and that of the Labour Party and Peter Obi challenging the judgment of the Court of Appeal, which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.

The last proceeding on Monday the apex court reserved judgment on the two appeals for a date to be communicated to the parties.

However, on Wednesday the Supreme Court’s Director of Press and Information confirmed that the Apex court has fixed October 26 for final judgment on the two appeals.

Apart from faulting the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), Atiku Abubakar also filed for permission to tender a copy of Tinubu’s academic records released by the Chicago State University, USA, which he said showed that Tinubu submitted a forged CSU certificate to the INEC.
