Former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad has challenged a fan who alleged that he stole government funds to take the matter to court.
The fan, who identified himself as Abubakar Abdulsalam, made the allegation in a tweet on Tuesday, saying that Ahmad should be investigated for his alleged involvement in corrupt practices.
Ahmad denied the allegations, calling them “baseless and unfounded.” He said that he is willing to clear his name in court.

“If you have any evidence of corruption against me, please take it to court,” Ahmad said. “I am confident that I will be cleared of all charges.”
The allegations against Ahmad come at a time when the government is facing increasing scrutiny over its handling of public funds
