The clerics made the call during activities held in remembrance of veteran journalist, author and Ibadan high chief, Oloye Lekan Alabi, who was laid to rest in Fiditi, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, following his death at the age of 75. They described Alabi as a man whose life exemplified integrity, humility and unwavering commitment to God and society. Reports from the funeral indicate that religious leaders used the occasion to challenge Christians to reflect on the kind of legacy they would leave behind.
Speaking at the event, the clerics said wealth and material possessions are temporary, while a life dedicated to serving God and positively impacting others remains an enduring testimony long after death.
