Businessman and entrepreneur Ibrahim Koleosho has emerged as the New Democrats Congress (NDC) candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II in the forthcoming Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Koleosho secured the party’s ticket following the conclusion of the NDC primary election conducted in the constituency, paving the way for his participation in the legislative contest.
Speaking after his emergence, the candidate pledged to focus on grassroots development, youth empowerment, healthcare improvement, and economic opportunities for residents of the constituency.
According to him, his decision to seek elective office was motivated by the need to bring practical leadership, transparency, and effective representation to the people of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II.
Koleosho said his legislative agenda would prioritize support for small and medium-scale enterprises, improved access to vocational and digital skills training for young people, and better funding and equipment for primary healthcare centres within the constituency.
He also emphasized the need for stronger advocacy for infrastructure projects, including road rehabilitation and improvements to public facilities serving local communities.
The NDC candidate noted that his experience in the private sector has equipped him with the management, budgeting, and project-monitoring skills needed to drive meaningful development and ensure accountability in public service.
“Our people deserve quality representation that addresses their daily challenges and delivers tangible results. I am committed to working with all stakeholders to attract development projects and create opportunities for residents of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II,” he said.
Party leaders and supporters expressed confidence in Koleosho’s ability to compete effectively in the election, citing his business background and longstanding involvement in community development initiatives.
With the primary election concluded, the campaign is expected to begin grassroots mobilization across the constituency ahead of the general election.
Political observers say the race for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II is likely to attract significant attention as parties intensify efforts to secure representation in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
