The Director-General of the Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Dr. Sulaimon Ogunmuyiwa, has commended the League of Muslim School Proprietors (LEAMSP) for its contributions to improving educational standards and promoting quality learning across member schools.
Speaking during a recent LEAMSP event, Ogunmuyiwa praised the association’s commitment to educational excellence, teacher development and the continuous improvement of learning outcomes among pupils and students.
In his keynote address, the education administrator noted that organisations such as LEAMSP play a vital role in complementing government efforts to strengthen the education sector. He highlighted the importance of maintaining high standards in teaching, learning and school management to ensure that students receive quality education that prepares them for future challenges.
Ogunmuyiwa emphasized that quality assurance remains a critical component of educational development, urging school proprietors and administrators to continue investing in teacher training, curriculum delivery and effective school governance. He stressed that collaboration between government agencies and private educational stakeholders is essential for sustaining improvements in the sector.
The Director-General also encouraged school owners to embrace innovation and best practices that enhance learning outcomes, noting that the education landscape is evolving rapidly and requires continuous adaptation to meet global standards.
LEAMSP, a nationwide association of Muslim school proprietors established to promote quality education and support member schools, has been involved in various initiatives including teacher training, school inspections, academic competitions and standardized examinations through the LEAMSP Examinations Council (LEC). The organisation operates across several states and works to improve educational standards in line with national curriculum requirements.
Stakeholders at the event reiterated the need for stronger partnerships between educational institutions, school proprietors and government agencies to address emerging challenges in the sector and ensure that students receive a well-rounded education.
The commendation comes amid ongoing efforts by the Lagos State Government to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms in schools and improve educational outcomes across the state. Ogunmuyiwa, who was appointed Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance in December 2025, has consistently advocated policies aimed at enhancing educational standards and promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
