Relationship coach and lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre, Kingsley Okonkwo, has launched a Christian matchmaking and marriage-preparation platform, Mentor To Marry, for singles seeking faith-based and intentional relationships.
Okonkwo announced the platform through social media posts, describing it as a guided community designed to help serious Christian singles prepare for marriage and connect with potential partners.
The platform offers three annual membership categories: Regular, Premium and VIP with fees ranging from ₦70,000 to ₦700,000.
The Regular package costs ₦70,000 and includes eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments and surveys, limited access to member profiles, an accountability system and weekly chats.
The Premium plan costs ₦350,000 annually and offers additional features, including unlimited profile browsing, monthly profile recommendations, priority access to coaches, access to global profiles, private groups and more weekly chats.
The VIP package, priced at ₦700,000 per year, includes a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to the platform’s founders, off-platform introductions, profile protection and access to international profiles.
According to information published by the platform, prospective members undergo an eight-week preparation process involving mentoring sessions, assessments and guided reflection before matchmaking recommendations and introductions are made.
Mentor To Marry is targeted at Christians aged 25 and above who are seeking marriage. The platform accepts people who have never married, as well as divorced and widowed individuals, but requires members to provide truthful information about their identity and marital status.
The platform also states that membership does not guarantee a match, mutual interest or marriage.
Promoting the platform, Okonkwo said he was concerned about what he described as the increasing commercialisation of modern relationships and the difficulties some men face in finding genuine partners.
He said the platform was created to help serious Christian singles connect with “godly” and well-mentored potential partners.
Okonkwo also stressed that the platform was not based on the assumption that all women approach relationships for financial gain, saying there were women interested in genuine relationships and marriage.
The launch has attracted considerable attention online, particularly because of the ₦700,000 annual VIP fee. Critics have questioned the cost, while the platform maintains that the different membership tiers provide varying levels of mentoring, matchmaking and access.
Beyond matchmaking, Mentor To Marry presents itself as a marriage-preparation service, combining relationship education, mentoring, assessments and potential partner introductions.
The platform is operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries, founded by Kingsley and his wife, Mildred Okonkwo, who have been involved in relationship and marriage counselling through their ministry.
