Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has unveiled a new Christian ministry, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), describing it as an interdenominational spiritual movement focused on prayer, revival and the transformation of believers.
Dikeh announced the development on Sunday through her social media platforms, presenting NWPT as an “interdenominational altar” and a spiritual home for believers seeking what she described as genuine revival and a deeper experience of God’s presence.
According to the actress, the ministry is anchored on the biblical passage in Mark 2:22, which refers to putting new wine into new wineskins.
She said NWPT was established for believers who are “hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation,” while outlining a vision of a global awakening of consecrated Christians.
The ministry’s stated mission includes building an interdenominational altar of prayer and revival, providing apostolic training, equipping believers, activating spiritual gifts and promoting evangelism.
Dikeh also said the movement seeks to empower what it described as “watchmen” and provide spiritual support to people seeking freedom and transformation through the Christian faith.
The launch took place in Abuja, according to multiple reports, with Dikeh subsequently sharing footage of herself leading a prayer gathering.
The actress has increasingly spoken publicly about her Christian faith in recent months. Reports on the launch noted that her move into ministry follows an earlier public testimony in which she discussed personal changes in her life and her Christian journey.
Dikeh’s latest venture represents a new chapter in her public career, which has included acting, philanthropy and political activities.
In announcing NWPT, however, she presented the organisation primarily as a spiritual movement rather than a conventional church, describing it as a gathering of believers committed to prayer, revival and spiritual growth.
The ministry’s emergence adds Dikeh to the growing number of Nigerian entertainers who have become increasingly involved in Christian evangelism and ministry.
NWPT said its broader objective is to see believers transformed and equipped to influence society through their Christian faith.
