The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide has announced the death of its Spiritual Father and Chairman, His Most Eminence Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale Alogbo, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in Lagos.
The church disclosed his passing in an official statement, describing Alogbo as a revered spiritual leader whose decades of service were marked by unwavering commitment to Christian faith, church unity and national development.
Alogbo served as the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), one of Nigeria’s largest indigenous Christian denominations. During his leadership, he consistently called for peace, good governance and national unity, while urging Nigerians to embrace prayer and moral values amid the country’s socio-economic and security challenges.
The late cleric was widely respected within the Cherubim and Seraphim community for promoting reconciliation among different church bodies and strengthening the church’s evangelical and humanitarian activities.
In 2025, he was ordained and enthroned as the fifth Supreme Head (Olori) of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, a development regarded by many members as a significant milestone in the church’s quest for greater unity.
Throughout his ministry, Alogbo remained an influential voice on national issues. Earlier this year, he urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for the country while calling on the Federal Government to tackle insecurity, inflation and economic hardship with practical measures that would improve citizens’ welfare.
Tributes have begun pouring in from church leaders, members and well-wishers, who described him as a humble servant of God, an advocate of peace and a father figure whose leadership transcended denominational boundaries.
The church said details of funeral arrangements and other memorial activities would be announced by the family and church leadership in due course.
