9 NYSC members abducted, one shot in Sokoto

Nine members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) were abducted and one was shot in Sokoto State on Monday, August 22, 2023.

The victims were traveling from Kaduna State to Sokoto State when they were abducted by gunmen along the Kaduna-Sokoto highway.

The gunmen opened fire on the bus carrying the victims, injuring one of them. The injured victim was taken to a hospital in Kaduna for treatment.

The other eight victims were abducted and taken to an unknown location.
