Popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has refuted claims that his marriage crashed due to infidelity.

The actor, who announced his separation from his wife Bunmi last week, said in an Instagram post that the decision was a mutual one and that there was no third party involved.

“My marriage didn’t crash due to infidelity,” Ninalowo wrote. “It was a mutual decision and we are both at peace with it. We will continue to be friends and co-parents to our children.”

Ninalowo’s statement comes after some social media users dug up an old interview in which he admitted to cheating on his wife. However, the actor said that the interview was conducted six years ago and that he and his wife had since worked through their issues.

“We are all human and we make mistakes,” Ninalowo said. “But I am a changed man and I am committed to being a better husband and father.”

Ninalowo and his wife have been married for 18 years and have two children together. They announced their separation last week in a joint statement on Instagram.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we have decided to go our separate ways,” the statement said. “We have come to this decision after much deliberation and prayer. We remain friends and will continue to co-parent our children.”

The couple’s separation has come as a shock to many of their fans. Ninalowo is one of the most popular actors in Nigeria and his marriage was seen as a model for others.

However, Ninalowo said that he and his wife are both at peace with their decision and that they are moving on with their lives.
