Gospel minister and drama evangelist Oluwafemi Ajewole, popularly known as Alfa Sule, has accused his younger brother, comedian and preacher Ayo Ajewole, better known as Woli Agba, of taking over their late father’s church and transforming it into his personal ministry.
Alfa Sule made the allegation during an appearance on The Ajibola Akinyefa Podcast, excerpts of which surfaced online on Thursday and have since generated widespread reactions on social media.
According to Alfa Sule, the church founded by their late father has been stripped of its original identity, with no visible recognition of its founder or his legacy.
He alleged that Woli Agba changed the church’s name and now runs it as though it were his personal ministry, rather than preserving it as their father’s spiritual legacy.
“My late father owns the church my brother is pastoring now. He has removed everything and converted the church to his own,” Alfa Sule said during the interview.
The cleric also claimed that he played a significant role in his younger brother’s early ministry and education, alleging that he financed Woli Agba’s studies and mentored him before he eventually established his own ministry. He said he was shocked to learn about the changes made to their late father’s church, insisting that nothing in the church now reflects its founder’s vision.
The allegations have sparked discussion among fans and followers of the two brothers, who have long been prominent figures in Nigeria’s gospel drama and comedy scene.
As of the time of filing this report, Woli Agba had not publicly responded to the allegations, and the claims have not been independently verified.
The public disagreement marks the latest development in what appears to be a family dispute over the leadership and legacy of the ministry established by their late father.
