Davido explains why his twins have yet to relocate to Nigeria

Grammy-nominated Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has explained why his twin children are yet to relocate to Nigeria, saying he wants them to move into a completed family home where they can enjoy a comfortable upbringing.

The singer made the revelation during a recent live stream, where he responded to questions about his family and life between Nigeria and the United States.

According to Davido, the twins currently remain abroad because construction work on his new residence in Nigeria is still ongoing.

“My twins will come to Nigeria once my house is done. I want them to come and live like the king and queen they are,” the singer said.

Davido noted that he is eager for the children to spend more time in Nigeria but believes it is important to ensure they have a suitable and secure environment before relocating.

The Afrobeats star and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, welcomed the twins in the United States in 2023, nearly a year after the tragic death of their first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. Since then, the couple have largely kept the twins out of the public eye, choosing to maintain their privacy while occasionally sharing updates with fans.

Davido, one of Africa’s most successful music exports, frequently divides his time between Nigeria and the United States due to his music career and family commitments. In recent interviews, he has spoken about balancing his international engagements with his responsibilities as a husband and father.

The singer’s latest comments have sparked conversations on social media, with many fans expressing excitement at the prospect of seeing the twins spend more time in Nigeria once the family’s new home is completed.
