A U.K. court has sentenced a Nigerian man, Conrad Irabor Martin Iyayi, to life imprisonment for killing his wife, Kathryn Harris.

The 46-year-old convict stabbed the art teacher multiple times at their home in Oak Crescent on February 6, 2022. He was said to have attacked her while their 11-year-old son slept upstairs.

Kathryn, a 52-year-old mum-of-three who worked at St Clares School, in Mickleover, until her death, was found semi-naked in the kitchen of their home by police officers.

They had been called to the address by the defendant who dialled 999 from a nearby telephone box and told the operator “I have killed my wife”.
