Tennis legend Serena Williams and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, have welcomed their second child, a baby girl.

The couple announced the birth of their daughter on Monday, August 22, 2023. They named her Adira River Ohanian.

“We are so happy to share that Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. has a new baby sister!” Williams wrote on Instagram. “We are blessed to have a healthy baby girl.”

Adira was born via surrogate, just like her older sister, Olympia. Williams has been open about her struggles with pregnancy, including complications that led to her giving birth to Olympia prematurely.

“I’m so grateful for everyone who helped make this possible,” Williams wrote. “We are so excited to start this new chapter as a family of four!”
