Uba Sani: Tinubu has delivered more projects to Northern Nigeria than any previous Northern President

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has undertaken more developmental projects across Northern Nigeria than any previous president from the region, expressing confidence that the president would secure even greater electoral support from northern voters in the 2027 general election.

The governor made the remarks while highlighting the Federal Government’s ongoing investments in infrastructure, transportation, security, education, agriculture, and other critical sectors across the northern states.

According to Sani, the Tinubu administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing the developmental challenges facing the North through strategic projects aimed at boosting economic growth, improving connectivity, and creating opportunities for millions of Nigerians.

He argued that the scale and spread of ongoing federal projects under Tinubu’s leadership have surpassed those executed by previous administrations led by northern presidents, describing the current government’s interventions as unprecedented.

The Kaduna governor noted that many of the projects are already making tangible impacts on the lives of residents, particularly in areas such as road construction, rail transportation, power infrastructure, and social investment programmes. He added that these initiatives are helping to stimulate economic activities and improve the welfare of citizens across the region.

Sani also maintained that the administration’s efforts to restore security in parts of Northern Nigeria have contributed to the gradual return of farming and commercial activities in previously troubled communities.

Looking ahead to the 2027 presidential election, the governor expressed optimism that President Tinubu would enjoy stronger electoral support across the North than he received during the 2023 polls.

He attributed this confidence to what he described as the administration’s performance-driven approach to governance, insisting that voters would reward visible developmental achievements rather than political rhetoric.

According to the governor, many northern communities have begun to witness the benefits of ongoing federal interventions, which he believes will influence public opinion ahead of the next general election.

Sani further urged political stakeholders and citizens to support the administration’s reform agenda, stressing that sustained cooperation between the federal and state governments remains essential to delivering lasting development and economic prosperity across the country.

President Tinubu’s administration has consistently defended its economic reforms and infrastructure agenda, arguing that although some policies have imposed short-term hardships, they are necessary to lay the foundation for long-term economic stability and national development.

The governor’s comments come as political activities gradually begin to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties and political leaders increasingly assessing the performance of the current administration and positioning themselves for the next electoral cycle.
