The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, set to hold Tuesday, September 12, has made history as nominees for the 2023 Artiste of the Year category consist of all female acts.
It is the first time organisers of the award show will nominate all female acts in this category.

Nominees include Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Karol G and Shakira.
The 2023 VMAs will also celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and feature performances from iconic hip-hop acts like DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash, and the Furious Five.
