Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo stole the spotlight at the first birthday celebration of her grandson, Prince Ayomide Rakeem Mkambala, as the family hosted a lavish celebration in Lagos on Saturday.
Rakeem, the son of Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, turned one on August 24, 2026. His parents marked the milestone by publicly unveiling his face for the first time after keeping him largely away from the public eye during his first year.

The birthday celebration in Lagos attracted family members, friends and personalities from the entertainment and social circles, with photos and videos from the event generating significant attention online.
Iyabo Ojo, who has frequently expressed her joy at becoming a grandmother, was among the major attractions at the celebration. She shared photographs from the occasion and appeared in a glamorous outfit that drew attention from fans and followers.

Ahead of the celebration, the actress had announced plans for a grand birthday party for her first grandson, promising to mark the occasion in Lagos in a memorable way.
On Rakeem’s actual birthday, Iyabo described the toddler as her “first grandson,” “joy” and “answered prayer” while praying for his protection, favour and success.
The birthday festivities also followed the couple’s coordinated family portraits released earlier in the week to mark their son’s first year.

Rakeem was born in Canada on August 24, 2025, to Priscilla and Jux. The couple had announced their pregnancy in July 2025 before welcoming their first child.
The first birthday celebration has since become a major talking point among fans of the family, with attention focused not only on the celebrant but also on the fashion and appearances of the celebrities who attended the Lagos event.
