Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has denied allegations that he fathered a child with another woman, describing the claim as false and warning that those responsible could face legal consequences.
Jux addressed the controversy in a statement shared on social media after the allegation resurfaced and gained attention online.
The singer said he initially chose not to respond because he did not consider the claim credible. However, he said the renewed circulation of the allegation had begun to affect his reputation, family and business interests.
According to Jux, the allegation had previously come to his attention, prompting him to contact the woman at the centre of the claim to establish its basis.
He said the woman, identified in reports as Musika, told him that they had never had a romantic or sexual relationship. Jux added that she had also advised him not to give the allegation further attention.
However, Jux said the claims had resurfaced and taken a different turn, prompting him to refer the matter to legal authorities.
He warned individuals and media platforms against associating his name, family or businesses with what he described as false allegations.
Jux also urged members of the public and media organisations to verify information before sharing it, particularly when the claims could affect an individual’s reputation.
The controversy comes as Jux, who is married to Nigerian actress and influencer Priscilla Ojo, remains in the public spotlight following the couple’s family celebrations. They welcomed their son, Rakeem, in August 2025.
The paternity allegation remains disputed. Jux has categorically denied it, while a woman identified in reports as the alleged mother has called for a DNA test to establish the child’s paternity.
No independent evidence confirming the paternity claim has been established in the reports reviewed.
Jux said he would allow the appropriate legal process to address the matter rather than continue debating the allegation publicly.
