Governor Seyi Makinde has paid a solidarity visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following the abduction of the minister’s sister and her twin sons.
The visit comes amid growing concern over the safety of the victims, who were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Oyo State. Governor Makinde used the visit to express sympathy and support for the Adelabu family during the difficult period.
Speaking during the visit, the governor assured the minister that the Oyo State Government was working closely with security agencies to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted family members. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property and pledged continued collaboration with security operatives involved in the rescue efforts.

The abduction has drawn widespread concern from political leaders, community members, and residents of the state, with many calling for intensified efforts to secure the release of the victims and curb kidnapping activities.
Adelabu thanked the governor for the visit and for the support being provided by the state government and security agencies. He expressed hope that the victims would be rescued safely and reunited with their family.
